WELL GETTING CLOSER TO MEXICO ! ! ! !

Well we are getting closer to Mexico, we are in Port Isabel Texas. On our way here on the intracoastal we had to pull over to let a barge pass, and the water is not all that deep in a lot of places. Well we hit a submerged post and bent one of the props. This was about 15 to 18 miles from Port Mansfield, we call to see if there was a repair place there and they said may on the other side of the island they could pull us out but weren't sure. So we carried on with one engine. That was a very long 15 miles, at about 5 miles per hr. Well pulled to Port Mansfield at 10pm tied up for the tight. And figured we would be up early and we were they came knocking on the window before 6am, so up we are and getting gas and getting back on our way. And yes it was still dark. So here l am out on the front deck (the bow) with the spot lite so we can get out with out hitting anything, and see our channel .
So by the time we back to the main channel it was daylight. So we are about 35 miles to Port Isabel Tx. we called and Peter said that they were off for the weekend but we can tied up close to the marine lift area. Got there about 1pm Peter helped us get in and tied up.
We are across from a small island, and here are some pic's of what we see.
This a bus stop that is Free it is called the Wave and it will take you for an Hour tour of Port Isabel and South Padre Island, we took it for the tour. It was nice to see some things that we can't get too on our bikes. Well we could but it is too far for me to ride.
We have had a couple of windy days here. Down the way from us there is a sandy place and this is what was blowing across the river. And yes it came down our way too, so we are some dusty and dirty. Good thing we have a pressure washer and we can wash that dust away.
This a fish that we see swimming around here, we are not sure what it is. And here are our props back and all straight and shinny ready for the next ding. LOL we hope not but one never knows what is under us.Well we are going to be here until the end of the month any how. We are hiring two guys that have gone out into the Gulf of Mexico, to come and drive the boat to Tampeckco. Which is about 200miles, should take 2days to get there. There some things we have to do to get ready for this trip across the open water.
So we are getting ready to go to Mexico.
